In a voice acting class I took, we were assigned the final project of making our own demo reel. We had plenty of work up to that point, but the work we had done was across many genres, (dubbing, animation, effort noises, audiobooks, tons of things), meaning while we could use what we had, the majority of content on the reel had to be made brand new. I chose to make a demo reel for the Commercial genre of voice acting. It sounded to me like the most practical thing to do. We had performed surveys in class as to what our type is, and I narrowed down as much as I could the type of commercials I would be best suited in. I wrote a few product names and commercials, found royalty free audio that fit my voice and tone, edited it all together, and of course recorded all my lines with the highest quality instruments I could find. I’m proud of the final result.

Commercial Demo Reel
A demo reel for commercial voice acting, where all music, writing and voice acting were engineered, edited, and chosen by me. I also performed the voice acting.
